The blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus) is so large that even dinosaurs are overshadowed by it.

Measuring over 30 meters (100 feet) long and weighing up to 190 metric tons, the blue whale's heart alone is the size of a small car.

Its call can reach 188 decibels and can be heard up to 600 miles (965 kilometers). This is louder than a jet engine.
